Dama and Ma-dee

Sawyer is quite a funny one with words. He uses the word "broken" to refer to being hurt. For instance, we listened to Peter and the Wolf and looked at some pictures of what the music was supposed to represent and when I told him that the duck was eaten by the wolf, he would look at me and ask, "Is the duck broken?". If he has a cut on his finger, it is "broken".
However, the funniest thing that Sawyer did was that he would call me "Dama" and Ryan "Ma-dee"
. He did not do this on purpose to make us laugh or anything. I think that the words just got mixed up in his brain and that is the way he got used to saying them. Recently, though, he has mostly stopped using those endearments and is now calling us Mama and Daddy like everyone else .

Hey, I found your blog, Tina! Oh, happy day! I can't tell you how much fun I had looking at all the pics of your sweet little (and not so little!) ones. I can't believe how big they all have grown! I'm excited to hear all about your family and life in Idaho. I'll be checking back soon!

We are so excited to see all these pictures and happy that Sawyer has gotten his words straightened out. Chelsea sometimes calls me Pop Pop!! It is followed by running and hugging, so who cares!! So long as she gets excited and runs to me!!LOL
