Jesus Lives in the Mother's Lounge

The other Sunday, after sacrament meeting, I took the boys to the potty in the women's restroom. While I was waiting with Leo for Sawyer to finish up, Leo tried to go into the Mother's Lounge. I stopped him and told him, "Oh no, Leo, don't go in there."
Leo then asked in complete seriousness,"Why? Does Jesus live in there?".
This resulted in amused laughter from the women in the stalls. I was struck not only by the humor in his statement, but also by his innocence and how he perceives God. He believes that they are real and that they have to live somewhere. Church is a logical place for him because that is where we learn about Him and because we treat it as a special place. I have learned from this four year old that I need to have this kind of faith that Heavenly Father and Jesus are real beings that we can talk to and live with one day. Somewhere roomier than the mother's lounge.

How cute! Kids truly "get" faith.

Well, I can see that I've missed out on quite a bit. I'm going to have to catch up!

Children do have quite the sweet faith we all need.
