Thankful

This past week a young man in our ward was killed in a car accident. The day before he died, he played a beautiful violin duet in our sacrament meeting. To make the whole situation more sad was the fact that their family had lost another son a number of years ago when he was hit by a car. I was very impressed by their faith and the cheerful outlook they had on things. I am not sure that I could be that positive. I am just thankful for my family and that God has not given me that trial to learn from yet.
The day before he died, he played a beautiful violin duet with his sister in our sacrament meeting. You hear those trite sayings like, "live in the moment" and "seize the day", but this experience has made me really think about it. We really never know when we will leave this mortality.

It's very true. When I read things about sad incidences such as this... my immediate thought is how much I really need to work on my patience. When I leave this life, I do not want impatience and poor temper to be the stand-out memories. Thanks for posting, Tina.
